We love a fic that's really sweet and makes you reflect. This:
Nicholas is suddenly reminded of his train of thought from earlier. The most genuine person he’d ever met. It’s immediately clear: Euijoo sees authenticity in others and it’s a virtue; Euijoo sees authenticity in himself and it’s something to scrub awayand this: “There’s a light in your eyes,” Euijoo says. “I usually only see it on stage. But there it is.”
“Being on stage was my first love,” Nicholas says, the words coming out of nowhere. The logical continuation of his statement is left implied, and it hangs in the air around them like stars.
“I think you’re mine,” Euijoo says, so quiet.
had me go "oof". Beautiful, soft, and delicate. What a treat.

The realization of how desperately Felix wants to see Sylvain in this moment, right now, as he's bruising his shoulder against yet another unmovable door, how much he needs to find him breathing, needs to find him here, needs to find him unburied, hammers at the walls of Felix's awareness like it means to break them. He's been ignoring for months now, with wild success, the incoming sucker punch that is the magnitude of Sylvain’s importance to him. If he never had time for it at the Academy, he certainly didn't have time for it at war. Edelgard and her armies were bearing down. He would deal with it later. Tomorrow. Soon.
It's now.

Great read. The reveal of Sylvain's trauma made me feel sick, like of course he would try to play it off: it's what he always does. Loved that Felix felt hurt and mad at himself for not realizing. The ending was also really sweet.

The characterization is exceptional. You can really feel how much thought the author put into this, everything felt so carefully constructed. I love it when fics play with gameplay elements and this one did just that. Goro's obsession with how much of him Akira carries within him was wonderful. 10/10, would read again
