Will’s eyes flick open. Strohl becomes slack-jawed and blissfully absent of thought, looking into them at point-blank range, but grinds his teeth back together. “I’m only kidding,” Will says, running a thumb over Strohl’s cheekbone, and then he laughs.
Kandera would shock Strohl less than this electric current in his veins.
Some journeys start in response to an injustice, a breach of faith, and a desire to rectify. A clemar who’s wandered for the past seven years, loosely held together by the pride on his back and staunch stubbornness stumbles upon the start of his own at long last.
He wouldn’t know it, though. Not many journeys begin with meeting an elda. And nowhere did this clemar write that he expected to fall in love with said elda.

Summary
The problem wasn't that Will was Strohl's soulmate, no. Strohl was over the moon to know that his dearest friend was his destiny– though he'd known that from the moment that they'd shook hands.
The problem was that Will didn't seem to know that Strohl was his soulmate at all. The misfortune never seemed to end, in his case– was he truly part of a one-sided bond? Or did Will simply not want him…?
No matter. Strohl would do his best to try and seduce him regardless.
