Summary
John MacTavish does not necessarily have a problem with sharing, he was actually pretty decent at it as a child, and only grew to enjoy being there for people as he got older. He likes being the team’s go-to person if there was a forgotten water bottle or hockey stick. He likes being there for his teammates and friends if they needed a place to crash after a long night, or giving his date the jacket off his back if they found themselves to be cold. It makes him feel good that he could be trusted and relied upon, it makes him feel important.
Despite this, MacTavish hates sharing the ice. Specifically, he hates sharing the ice with Manuel Roba’s figure skaters.

He tensed minutely, not meaning to let the pet name slip out, but the other man didn’t seem phased. Johnny threw his head back and cackled. Simon watched the way those eyes shined with mirth, and thought he might kill the next time someone tried to insult this precious omega. He ached, breathing through his nose shallowly, trying not to smell Johnny’s scent too deeply, lest he forget himself and lean forward to nose along his warm neck.
“What am I going to do with you, Riley?” Johnny asked, fondly. Simon shrugged with the other shoulder, careful not to dislodge Johnny’s grip on his hand.
