    Izzy groans when Frenchie lifts him, his eyes glassy with pain. When those eyes roll up to Frenchie’s face, Izzy wraps bloody fingers in the collar of his shirt and tries to pull their faces closer together.

    “Just make it quick. Please.” His voice is flayed, unfit for even the most basic of pleasantries.

    Frenchie shushes him, thinks about telling him it’s gonna be alright but doesn’t want to lie. The blood is starting to soak into his sleeves, and he knows if he doesn’t move quickly he’ll be leaving a trail to wherever he’s taking Izzy behind him.

    It’s that thought, and the worry attached to it, that makes him realize what he’s already decided to do.

    Canon era (somewhere in an alt S2).

    When a raid goes wrong, most of the crew are injured and the Revenge runs dangerously low on supplies. Needing a quick cash injection with only the remaining able bodies, it’s decided that Lucius and Izzy will infiltrate the governor’s Masquerade Ball to steal the famous and priceless "Tethys Diamond". While mingling with aristos and searching for the necklace, Izzy and Lucius bump into some familiar faces and get into all sorts of trouble.

    Basically, me wanting to put the boys into fancy duds and play around with all my favourite Pride & Prejudice/ Bridgerton-esque tropes.
