Summary
Alphas in the NHL who have issues with hormonal balance typically approach a doctor, receive a diagnosis, take a pill, and go on living their lives the way they did before. They do not experience a blackout due to an intense violent urge and wake up with bloody knuckles after putting another hockey player in the hospital and forcing him into early retirement.
Shane Hollander is the exception to the rule and now burns out his evenings at a gas station in Montreal, fronting shelves and counting down the hours until he can go home while trying to forget how much of a disappointment he is to his parents. And it almost works until the night he finds an omega cat hybrid rifling through the dumpster behind the store and invites him inside and out of the cold like his mother would want him to.
