Summary
To be precise – he didn’t care in the slightest. The stranger could have been a potential murderer, or someone being investigated by the police, as much as they could have been a single parent with a crying toddler at home. Either of those situations seemed stressful.
Once again, Hiori grimaced. Comparing a serial killer to a parent wasn’t exactly the most appropriate approach to things.

The best thing about rainy days, though, wasn't the smell, or the sound. Neither was it his bed seeming so much more comfortable than on sunny days.

Summary
“I hate rain.”
His answer surprised Poe: how could anyone despise the rain?
As if he was reading the writer's mind, Ranpo answered.
“It - it's so weird, and wet, and loud. And when it's loud, at the same time it's so - quiet. It makes me feel weird. How can something be quiet and loud at the same time?” -

Summary
Poe never really cared for Christmas, or Easter. Or, for his birthday. To be fully honest, he never cared about any holiday at all.
To him, the concept was nonsense: people, and their constant blabbering about gifts and their loved ones annoyed the writer. Everyone was busy, and in a hurry - even if they didn't have a reason to be all that excited. It made the air tense up from all the stress the big crowds had to offer, every time he went out to shop for groceries these times of the year.
People were so eager to buy the last bit of meat, cursing out one another if the cookies they wanted were sold out. No one was trying to hide their stress and uneasiness anymore: they were all just busy throwing out money for meaningless gifts and presents. That was, until a certain, short detective pushed his ways upside down.
