    “They took me out when you guys showed up,” Leo continued, as if Raph hadn’t spoken at all. “Dragged the cage out of the closet and unlocked it, put restraints on me before I knew what was happening. Then they shoved me around a bit, and I didn’t do shit. It was so much after so long with so little. I thought I was dying.”

    Summary

    Stockman said that they were rewiring Leonardo’s brain so that Saki’s presence emanated in every fired neuron and connected synapse. Saki likened it to taking a sledgehammer to his skull.

    or, at the end of season 2, the Shredder decides to keep Leo and instead sends a message by hurling Splinter's comatose body through the window. This gives him about three months to break Leo down into something new, through a combination of sensory deprivation, sensory overload, and a whole lot of mindfuckery. He wants a loyal devotee, even if he has to cram love down Leo's throat until it's all he's capable of bearing.

    or, a three part series examining the before, during, and after of the conditioning Leo experiences at the Shredder's hand.

    this series was the first TMNT fic(s) i ever decided to read and it has yet to be topped. it really checks all of my boxes: leonardo-centric, leonardo whump, torture, torture, the torture labyrinth, and hurt comfort

    oh my Guac.... incredible!! i lovelovelove the city fall arc in IDW, and by extension eevery fic where leo gets brainwashed by shredder. this series tho? top-freaking-tier

    lots of things to think about, but here are my favorite bits and pieces (in no particular order):
    > alll of the psychological tactics used to have leo submit completely. Very fun to point at the screen and say "I STUDIED THAT!!! THE THE THE--"
    > leo being the Creature Feature
    > the prose???? i am SICK. this is written so well and by consequence i am writhing in agony.... Great frigging job
    > big fan of leo around his brothers in dis one. every dynamic is saurr good
    > ALSO the lore implications of this ????? farmhouse arc sans leo; shredder being killed by karai; the Intimidating Space Arc around the corner.... lowk was waiting for a hardcut to just a random ass triceraton HAHAHA juust to remind us what show universe this takes place in
    > ohhh my god the dinner scene. shut up shut up shut up
    > THE ??? BATHROOM SCENE??? THE CLOSEST IVE EVER GOTTEN TO CRYING IN A FIC
