“Erling,” Jude tries, and it works, not because Erling is pathetic, but because this is the first time he’s heard Jude call his name in over a year.
So actually, maybe that does make him a bit pathetic. Whatever.
Or,
Jude is good at the whole self-discipline thing. But just ahead of England's match against Norway, it all comes crumbling down when he thinks of Erling, when Erling thinks of him, and when the internet thinks of the two of them together.

He reaches upward, pinching the waistband of Jude’s maroon boxers and slowly pulling them down, waiting for the younger man to disapprove, waiting for him to storm out of here and never speak to him again. He finds his own actions becoming uncontrollable, both of their dense scents swirling in the air, and it’s suddenly suffocatingly addictive to bathe in Jude’s pheromones.
Jude goes into heat before a game, and who is Haaland if not a good friend.

“Hey Jude.” Haaland says, his Nordic accent muffled through what sounds like fabric covering his mouth. “Hey, so, I’m just going to-what's that phrase called? I am just going to cut to the chase.” He continues, voice clearer now, leading Jude to assume he must have pulled off whatever was muffling his voice earlier.
“What does that mean? Also, wow, it’s been so long since we’ve spoken-”
“I am outside of your hotel, Jude.”
