Summary

Summary
Spamton makes the mistake of writing Tenna a get well soon note, and even with no signature the CRT knows exactly who’s lurking in Castle Town, and becomes determined to track him down.
Meanwhile, Spamton refuses to talk to Tenna face to face and would rather hang out with Ralsei, the first darkner to show him kindness in years. But the prince is insisting he try communicating through letters with Tenna. He doubts it’ll end well. But it’s worth a shot.
Ralsei is stuck between the two dramatic ex-partners, and while keeping them sane and cared for, he might earn their undying friendship. And, he might even find a sense of belonging outside the lightners.

“I sell cars,” Spamton had replied, back when Tenna was addressing him. “If you talk [Big] with nothing to back it up, people think you’re a hack.”
“Well,” Tenna said, “are you?”
Spamton sprayed the compressed air into his smug face.
That would have been preferable to drowning in insulation foam and getting licked clean by a clown (“HANDS OFF THE [[Officil Merchandise]]!!”). Jevil’s nuisance was missed as soon it was over though, because then all he had was the realization that that was his last chance. To do what, he isn’t sure. To demand an apology. To explain why he ran away. To scream at him. To break that stupid screen himself, just to get it over with, and crawl inside there never to emerge. Then at least they’d be together.

An unseen, silent, approximately 4 foot tall individual takes it upon himself to fix the fallen Lord of the Screens. To raise a middle finger to the mysterious phone-calling, prophecy-defining benefactor who screwed him over and made him a living puppet, of course. No other reason.

Summary
Over the years, there were times when Mr. Ant Tenna thought of what it would be like if he ever saw his flighty former co-host again. What he might say or do to convey just how much the little mailman’s sudden departure had sent Tenna’s world crashing down. Sixteen years apart certainly gave one time to ruminate on such a thing, after all; let the resentment fester and transform into a bitter feeling the aged television couldn’t even name anymore.
Funny, how Tenna had found himself unprepared in every sense of the word when it actually happened.

“It felt like a joke at first. The person in the mirror looked exactly like the one he saw in all the posters and merchandise not too long ago. Spamton tried to rip off the assumed picture of Tenna facing him, only to realize he was grasping onto a smooth, cold surface. The Tenna on the other side wasn’t even smiling or posing like the others, instead he looked as distraught as the salesman was feeling right now.
Spamton raised his hand to feel his face, while the reflected CRT followed suit. His plastic puppet jaw was nowhere to be found, being replaced by a boxy matte chin and a glass surface where his face should be. He reached over to the top of his head, feeling not hair, but two thick antennas like the ones he sees ahead of him.
Spamton’s mechanical heart sank as the realization settled in. This wasn’t a dream; it felt too real to be one.
He had become his worst enemy.”

How do you field dress a bird? Well, it’s a bit of a different process from field-dressing larger game, but the principle is largely the same. It’s the kind of thing that feels difficult when you learn about it, but becomes quite simple once you actually get to doing it. All you really need is a good, sturdy, sharp knife, and perhaps some rope or string to keep things in place. From there, it’s a lot more intuitive than you’d probably think. Just keep your cuts precise and try to organize your workstation. It’s easy.
Of course, dead game doesn’t squirm so much, but there’s not much a creature so small can do.OR: Puppetification is a brutal process. That's it.

Tenna’s first reaction upon seeing Spamton again, which was to spray him with foam, should’ve been an early warning sign of how their relationship would go in Castle Town. In simple words: not good.
With Tenna forced to come to terms with his loss of power and Spamton eager to take advantage—adding on years of separation, misunderstandings, and pent up anger—it wasn’t a surprise that things turned out this way.
So, with all that in mind, why in the world did they keep coming back to each other?
