Matthew scoffed and, with quiet efficiency, slugged the butt of his knife into an already bruised cheek, knocking out his husband for the second time that night.
As if Matthew wasn't sexy on a daily basis. The audacity.
Or: Matthew's marriage is a lie. His reputation as one of the tops in The Organization is in shambles, no thanks to his 'husband.'

One second he was running through fire trying to save Katsuki like an idiot, the next they’d graduated middle school and he’d disappeared without so much as a goodbye. Not that Katsuki wanted a goodbye. He doesn’t give a shit that Deku left, but he should’ve stayed gone!
How dare he just waltz back into Katsuki’s life looking all big and tall and shit.
Or Deku is clearly being tall on purpose to ruin Katsuki’s life.

It’s a pipedream.
“I’m going to be okay.”
“Idiot, I thought I told you that you don’t have to do shit on your own again. Partners, remember?” he says. “You can’t get rid of me. Till death do us apart, and all that crap.”
Katsuki doesn't have a clue about the things Izuku feels for him, and Izuku intends to keep it that way for as long as he can.
For forever, maybe.

“Fuck,” Kirishima croaks, leaning down with a hand on Katsuki’s shoulders. The tears in his eyes are spilling down his cheeks now, open and shameless in a way Katsuki can’t help but remember mocking when they were younger. “Katsuki, dude, please, there’s gotta be something we can do—”
Katsuki tries to speak, but all that comes out instead is a choked gurgle and a strangled wheeze and something small but solid crawling up his throat, and this time there’s bile with the blood that hits his kitchen floor.
Bile, blood, and the most damning flower bud he’s ever seen, curled up in a deep green cradle, the shy edges of yellow petals peeking out from the center.
“Oh, Katsuki,” Ashido croaks, thin and wet with tears, “Sunflowers.”

Katsuki didn't think his day off would involve spitting flowers, but that's just his luck.
