The liqueur store was lined with glistening bottles, laden with women and text they couldn’t read. Polnareff and Avdol were in the aisle over, arguing. Well, more like Polnareff was yelling at him and Avdol was inaudible due to his stunning decorum.
Joseph was somewhere trying to dazzle the cashier into a discount.
The two teenagers stood in the aisle, eyeing the candied colors of rum. Polnareff shouted something about how bets were meant to be taken ultraseriously- even when drinking. In relation to the Frenchman double dog daring Joseph during their last inebriated crusade.
Kakyoin laughed, the one that sounded like windchimes. He said, loud enough for Polnareff to hear, “Nothing matters when you’re drunk!”

“Try steaming out the hotel bathroom.” Noriaki suggested, his common warm smile evident through the phone. Ever knowledgeable. Always sly, so effortlessly slippery under Jotaro’s paw. Meanwhile his want was punctuated like a beating heart over the phone.
Kakyoin flipped over the page, trying to fumble away from the words that were sketched achingly into his skin. Desire. It crackled on the phone, and Jotaro mumbled, “So, your book?”
