'He kissed Blade slowly and deeply, relishing in the heat of his mouth and the fact that, for the moment, he did belong to Dan Heng.
Blade just let Dan Heng kiss him. He didn’t move. He didn’t bring his hands up, or do anything other than let Dan Heng push into his mouth, tasting him, memorising him.
When Dan Heng finally drew back hesitantly, his eyes half-lidded and his veins warm, Blade stared at him with an unreadable expression, his lips still slightly parted.
“...Just take your pants off already,” Dan Heng said simply. Let’s cast all of this aside… Let me pretend tonight will bleed into an eternity in which I can hold every precious heartbeat in my hands.'
A.K.A. Dan Heng is still mad at Blade for their argument after Amphoreus, but now he’ll have to keep an eye on him in Planarcadia. Nobody got slushies, but Dan Heng is WAY too gay for his own good.

Dan Heng scoffs. "I'm in denial? You're the one who isn't listening to me! You're the one who won't admit what he wants."
A dangerous light sparks in Blade's eyes as he pushes down, just slightly, enough to remind Dan Heng of the position he's in. "You speak," he says as if amused, "As if you know. Yet you claim to remember nothing."
"I can hazard a guess," Dan Heng growls through his half-crushed throat. "You hunt me down but won't kill me. You went out of your way to look at my Mark. What you want is this. Our… hunt, if it can be called that."
Blade raises a brow. The motion is carefully controlled. He stays silent, as if to say, go on.
"You didn't know for sure if we were linked," Dan Heng continues with all the arrogance a man pinned to the ground by his neck could ever hope to muster, "But you didn't know for sure that we weren't, either, you thought-" Dan Heng finds himself smiling. Even though he dies here, he dies with the upper hand. "You thought, even if you're my executioner, technically, that still means you're mine."
Or: There is more than one kind of entanglement.

Dan Heng looked at Blade's profile in the dimming light.
"Does your body remember?" he wanted to ask. "Is that why you're not shivering? Is that why this feels like something you've done before?"
He didn't ask.
Blade's eyes were on the water, his expression distant in the way it went when he was somewhere else, not the Mara-kind of elsewhere, something quieter than that. Remembering, maybe. Or trying not to.
"Vidyadhara," Blade said finally, his voice low, "always preferred the cold."-
After the rather unusual group of factions, defeated Fulwish together, everyone is restlessly waiting for a response by the IPC on the future proceedings in regard to the Abundance Threat looming over Planarcadia. Most importantly, what to do with Blade.
Conveniently, Evanescia knew a place! A retreat home, cold spring waters, everything to help Blade maintain a calm state with Shuhu's flesh being in his body. But they can not let him go unsupervised. How fortunate that Dan Heng volunteers to go along.Series
