A classic and fantastic piece of short fiction that touched us deeply. Synovus is a deeply compelling and flawed character with such a strong protective heart. This and it's sequel are fantastic works and highly recommended.

Perhaps the best work of hobbyist fiction we have ever read. The characters and unpacking of the setting is so raw and the art felt, and strikes so deeply at the core of what it means to build a better world. This story is beautiful. My only recommendation is to read a few other HDG (Human Domestication Guide) stories before this one.
