On the hottest day of the year, Kravitz tied his locs up into a loose knot on the back of his head, shoulders upright and chin held high at his piano despite the heat. Taako nearly chopped off his own pinky with his best knife because he was distracted by the gleam of sweat on the back of Kravitz’s dark neck. That was before, of course -- before they got together and before they got married and before other, less pleasant things.
Or, Taako meets Kravitz while he's doing Sizzle It Up! Things go about as well as they did for Magnus pre-canon -- that is, very well and then very badly.

Taako has an interesting sense of personal space when he’s sober - he goes from avoiding all touch to wrestling his sister to the ground in about a minute flat - and right now he’s anything but sober. Magnus isn’t going to say it’s not nice, having another person so close. He’s always been a physical kind of guy, so physical nearness is the easiest way to make sure he’s doing his job as protector.
Also, Taako’s pretty warm and he smells nice.

Summary
Five times Taako manages to get a hug from one of his friends without having to actually admit that he wants a hug, and one time he flat out cops to it.
1. Taako hates being cold and wet. He's both, thanks to an inconvenient river. Magnus is a human furnace, and thus it begins.
2. Waking up feeling inexplicably lonely, Taako tries to goad Magnus into bickering with him in a bid for some company. He gets the company, at least.
3. Angus is almost hit by a rogue cart, Taako deals with being idolized and trusted by a kid he doesn't think he deserves the faith of.
4. During a fight, Taako almost dies, and Merle gets to practice his healing skills.
5. Magnus has a nightmare, Merle nearly loses Magnus after a fight, and Taako finds himself on the other side of things.
