    Once the glow of the cottage fades and the boys have to head back to the real world, they have to start the long difficult year being separated before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Or at least that was the plan, until Ilya opened his mouth and accidentally got himself traded to Montreal. But it’s fine, just one year for Ilya in Montreal and then their 10 year plan is back on track… Right?

    Through their year on the same team, Ilya helps Shane come to terms with the fact that his team kinda sucks, Hayden gets chirped into oblivion but still realizes that maybe Ilya Rozanov isn’t nearly as bad of a guy as he thought, and Hollanov come to terms with a new question they didn’t expect to ask.

    Now that they’ve gotten a taste of living together and being on the same team, how are they ever going to give it up?

    After a bad hit knocks Ilya’s consciousness out of his body — literally — Shane finds himself sheltering the soul of his decade-long situationship in the back of his head. Turns out it’s a lot harder to keep secrets when you share a body.

    Heat spread across Ilya's face. His mouth fell open slightly. He let out a short, stuttered laugh of disbelief. This couldn't- he was straight, he wasn't-

    “Finally got you at your own game.” Shane's smirk widened to a smile, his hand clapping down on Ilya's shoulder to squeeze it slightly. For once in his life, Ilya was unable to find his voice.

    “Damn.” Shane laughed, jostling him a bit. “If I had known this was all it took to get you to shut the fuck up, I would have started flirting back years ago.”

    When old college friends Ilya and Shane show up to their mutual best friend's wedding, they are ready to fulfill their duties as bridesmen. Even after years of not seeing each other, they fall right back into their usual banter.

    Ilya loves to flirt with Shane. Shane loves to tell him to fuck off. It's a running bit. Nothing more than a joke between two friends; because Shane is gay and Ilya is straight and it doesn't actually mean anything…until Shane finally decides to flirt back, and Ilya's world suddenly tilts on its axis.

    Rozanov grabbed Shane’s face and forced his eyes back on the rink.

    “Holy shit.”

    It was all Shane could say. There, taking laps for an adoring crowd, was Ilya Rozanov.

    Shane Hollander would never admit this, not even under oath, but the first thing he noticed when he saw 32 year-old Ilya Rozanov, was that he looked really, really hot. He was entirely, spectacularly gorgeous.

    The second thing, the one far more pertinent, was that he was wearing black and red.

    “You get traded to Ottawa.” Shane uttered.

    “No-”

    Shane darted between the Rozanov circling the rink and the Rozanov beside him.

    “What the fuck did you do?” Shane asked.

    It was the strangest drunken sensation he’d ever felt in his life — the whoosh that immediately followed and the sudden lightness of his limbs. Blinking in slow surprise, Ilya looked down and realized that he was, much to his chagrin, now stuck against his bedroom wall, his wrists seemingly glued on either side of him.

    “Booby trap,” he whispered, giggling to himself as he tugged at his bindings.

    There was a scuffling noise and Ilya looked up just in time to watch in awe as Shane Hollander literally dropped down from the ceiling.

    Or, Ilya’s (hot) new roommate might be a spider. Ilya has a crush on him anyway.
