Summary
Remus Lupin is sick of watching Sirius Black make out with random girls throughout the day, but charm him and slip back into his bed at night. He knows he shouldn't feel like this, at least not for Sirius, so he goes for the next best option. He starts to pull away from Sirius and starts hanging out with a younger boy who expressed interest in him.
Sirius Black is sick of his feelings, the ones that make him feel something for his brown-haired best friend with beautiful scars. He's not supposed to feel like he wants to kiss Remus, he's certainly not supposed to feel like he wants to commit and be his boyfriend either. He's not supposed to be gay. So, he just throws his thoughts into making out with random girls and convinces himself that he's only ending up in Remus's bed because of stupid hormones and not because he wants to kiss Remus.

Sometimes Remus feels like wanting Sirius is going to kill him.
Sometimes he feels it would happen slowly, the weight of words unsaid crawling up his throat, want suffocating him, the very last dregs of his unfurled love clawing their way out of his heart.
Mostly, he sees his love in flashes. Flashes of want when Sirius stands a little too close, when he notices a new ring added to his collection, the guttural never-ending heat coiling in his abdomen whenever and wherever, that never seemed to tire, and was only relieved in the quiet hours of the night, when only the wolves prowled around and the owls hooted warnings.
