Note: With the upcoming Mando and Grogu movie I am making this and subsequent stories in this series happen many years before the time of the movie since it will show Grogu "fighting" (more or less) and we won't get to that stage in this series for quite awhile. Probably the gap of years between the real seasons/movie will be less than in my stories. Luckily I don't think they are going to set the time line in cement in reality. My Grogu is way ahead of their Grogu on basically every other metric though. LOL
*********Din and Grogu arrive back on Navarro after Cara and Cobb's babysitting. There he fixes up his little house that Greef Karga gave him. Grogu spends too much time in the sun. I do know how to spell grabby by the way but for some reason grabbie hands looks cuter.

Part 16-C in The Kid/The Child series.
I should have probably made this a chapter in Memories but oh well, I didn't think of that until much later. The Kid remembers a friend he made in his long confinement, this event probably happened about 8 -10 years into his confinement. This memory could happen anytime after this little chapter or Memories ends, either before or after Din frees him but probably before.
A bit of cruelty at the beginning but not to Grogu.

#16-B in The Kid / The Child series. B is for unabridged version.
I had edited out part of this thinking maybe it might be TOO much but a friend said it should be in there. BUT if the edited version was borderline for you maybe skip this unedited version. The new (old?) section is right after the kid is wondering why he hasn't grown in all of these years while the Mercs kids grew up. I also edited it in a few places for grammar.
Trigger warning! This does contain descriptions of physical and mental child abuse, some are bad but not too horrible, I'd say on a scale of 1-5 maybe a 3.75 to 4.0 at the worst, a 1.0 at the least. Not quite enough for the Archive Warning label though.
Even though Grogu is happy with Din Djarin as his adopted Dad he still has nightmares about the past and the people who kept him captive. This takes place after the episode with Asoka but before the Tython / kidnapping incident. I wanted to show why Grogu can be an irritating little brat at times. He has his reasons and has nobody to talk them out with!
It's amazing really that the poor Kid is not a serial killer already!

Grogu didn’t have many good memories before meeting Buir.
For a long stretch of time, he wasn’t sure how long, Grogu had been locked away in a dark, scary place, surrounded by dark, scary people. He could rarely make out their faces, but he could very clearly sense their overwhelming emotions of anger, irritation, cruelty that made him curl in on himself in an effort to be as unnoticeable as possible. He learned very quickly that being quiet, not voicing his hurts, his hunger and cold and desperate loneliness, was the best way to survive. His mind floated in a limbo of empty aches, surrounded by darkness that he was helpless to escape from. He was too little, too weak, too scared and confused and lost to do anything.
Then, one day, there was light.
It sounds like angst, but I promise it’s not :)
