Oscar Piastri has two rules for summer break:

Lando Norris has one rule for summer break:
1. Find Oscar Piastri.
When Lando shows up at Oscar's secret garage with a car that isn't broken and a grin that definitely is, Oscar tells himself he's just humouring him. He'll fix the imaginary problem, send Lando on his way, and get back to his peaceful, Lando-free summer.
Except Lando keeps coming back. And Oscar keeps letting him.
And somewhere between the oil stains and the lingering touches, Oscar realizes the only thing more dangerous than a broken car is a Lando Norris who knows exactly what he's doing.

Oscar is a part time mechanic in his free time and has a big crush on Lando (and so does Lando)

"Clean racing, Oscar."
That's what he heard on the radio on the last lap at Monza. The same thing he heard in Hungary last year, and also in Australia before that—Singapore was just a different font of the same sentence too. It was always the same voice, the same three words, every time Lando tried an overtake.
Oscar has spent months keeping his cool. Lando has spent months waiting for him to stop.
Somewhere between a last-lap overtake, a bottle of wine, and a hotel room in Monza, neither of them manages it anymore.(Or in simple words Oscar and Lando finally getting on with it after Monza.)

Summary
It's a family feud. Or so Lando and Oscar like to think, because they are the only ones still left feuding, unable to move on from the past that had turned them against each other. Yet somehow, no matter how much they wish they would just disappear from each other's lives, they keep ending up at the same places. Oscar getting a job at Lando's dad company ends up being another of those strange coincidences, which forces them to pretend to be working together while still plotting on how to get the other fired. Except there is only so much hatred that can be tolerated and not turned into something deeper and more difficult to explain.

“We should hook up,” Lando said. Blunt and matter of fact with the end of his pencil between his teeth. They were almost done with their engineering project. Or, more like, Oscar took over, and told Lando to start formatting their paper while he worked on the calculations. Lando was not pouting about it.
Oscar was focused on his notebook. He didn’t even look up at Lando. “Sure.”
Lando stared at him. He had the faint realization that Oscar’s response, or really the lack thereof, made something hot and bitter climb up his throat. “Did you even hear me?”
“Yes,” Oscar said. He finished writing, then finally turned his attention to Lando. His face gave nothing away.
(Alternatively: Lando and Oscar make a plan to hook up, but Oscar's room is a mess while Lando's feelings are a mess.)

Getting robbed by a hookup was humiliating enough, as far as Oscar was concerned.
Having to call Lando to rescue him while he was still handcuffed naked to a hotel bed was significantly worse.
