Raymar had just barely seen the beginning of his fifth year of life when his Mother died.

He sees her in every reflective surface, finds her in every sharp wind that hits his face in a promise of freedom and tranquility, and feels her with every lost trace of her favorite honey scented oil.
He had lost her when he was just a boy — now, as a man, as a Lord of the land she had once cared for and ruled — he can only hope that he is even half as strong as she had once been.

With a sigh that seemed to weigh the whole world, Aegon resigned himself to looking over and seeing who it was.

In the soft light of the morning, the Alpha’s silver coils caught the sunlight and shone white and green and purple at the edges like a halo of sparkling seafoam. The gentle upturn of his pug nose and the slightly boyish roundness that still clung in places to a jaw that was otherwise seemingly cut with diamond made him look impossibly sweet slack in his sleep. And he was still drooling on Aegon’s shoulder, the oaf.
In a far off Autumn where the Dance of the Dragons never happened, Jacaerys Velaryon and Aegon Targaryen have been in love since nursery games and small hands slipped into each others' for comfort and belonging. Aegon has convinced himself that he will always be in the process of losing this, losing them.
Jacaerys Velaryon never had any intention of letting go.
