Summary
“We got word you were dead,” he explained, voice uneven.
Criston nodded and finally was able to force out something resembling words: “I was.”
A wry smile settled on Gwayne’s lips. “No time for theatrics, Ser Criston, you will spook the horses.”
You don’t understand, he wanted to say, they did not let me rest. The Stranger sent me back. But instead, Criston reached for the other man’s gambeson, grasping for it and bunching up the material in an urgent gesture. Briefly, Gwayne's hand came to rest over his and he nodded, fiercely so.
By the command of The Stranger, Criston Cole lives again. A higher power calls him to Tumbleton, though he does not understand why. Could it be someone needs him there? Meanwhile, after the battle has laid waste to the town, Ser Gwayne Hightower must pick up the pieces and searches for his nephew Daeron. An unforseen twist of fate has him join forces with a friend he had believed lost.

Instead, he commits a reckless act, risking his own body to save Criston's life. While a severe head trauma has left Cole with his face wounded and his memory gone.
To survive their long, starving trek through a wartorn wilderness, Gwayne must protect them both, stop them from starving to death, while his repressed feelings for Ser Criston refuse to stay buried.
(Summary to be updated as the fic evolves to avoid spoilers, but this is a long slow-burn romance/angst/fix it)

Summary
Following the orders of a concerned father, Dunk sails to Lys to find out whether the disturbing rumours about Prince Aerion hold any truth to them. They do, unfortunately—every single one. Aerion is unwell. And Dunk? He's entirely out of his depth.
But the Knight vowed to keep Aerion from harm, and by the Gods, he means to keep it.
It's much easier said than done, especially when the only things the Prince seems keen on is indulging in debauchery and causing mayhem, and the last thing he desires is the Hedge Knight he hates watching over his every move.
When Dunk falls victim to blood magickers, the tides shift. He no longer needs to chase after Aerion, who suddenly delights in his company—except the Prince doesn't know it's Dunk at all.
