It took him a few months to really and truly grasp the intricacies of this phenomenon and the way it worked but to put it simply: every time Jaehyun expressed physical or emotional affection and it went unreciprocated, his body gained a wound. An actual, physical, totally tangible wound.Jaehyun takes a subconscious step forward. Taesan retreats. Nothing is the same ever again.

Dongmin sits up. “You’re kidding me. Hyung, is Kim Donghyun fucking you right now?”
On the other end of the line comes a faint whine, the sound resembling a yes.
“Well, I was about to, until you so rudely interrupted us.”
“Turn on the camera, let me see,” Dongmin says, not caring that his voice had come out an octave too high, breathless and needy. “I want to see him, Kim Donghyun.”
A pause.
“Hmm. Nah. I don’t think so.”
