Usually, he was very good at redirecting such questions. If you asked Dylan later, he would blame it on his sleep deprivation. His mouth was working before his brain could catch up, “If wanting was all it took, I would have a faen by now,” he laughed dryly. “Trust me, no one wants to deal with all of this,” he said, gesturing to all of himself. He'd meant it to land as a joke– slightly self-deprecating, but ultimately harmless. It was MO anyway. Sure, it wasn’t the usual kind of answer he would give, but even after his brain had caught up, he felt like it was a very normal answer to have. Not out of character, and definitely not scandalous by any means. But the interviewer seemed to focus on something else entirely. Her eyes lit up like she'd found the gossip exclusive for the week.
“So there is someone?!”

"But most interviewers do not care about ‘interesting’. They want ‘sensational’. They want Dylan tail out, metaphorically and non-metaphorically too, probably, relaying stories about sea witches.
“These sea witches,” Jun cuts him off mid rant, later in the green room.
“For the thousandth time, there are no sea witches, Jun”.
Dylan is a merman, that's probably the least interesting thing about him. Jun is an asshole, and Dylan thinks that's his best quality.

Summary
