As much as he resents feeling anything close to a burden, or a pity-project, or a charity case, or whatever other humiliating thing he can think of at any given time, Josh has a way of making it much more bearable. It's his natural fidelity, Tyler thinks. His fatal flaw has always been his kindness; perpetual and unrelenting. He's sure it does more harm than good.

The edges of his vision crackle, and everything starts to fade away. Josh has disappeared, and he finds himself glad of it. This isn’t something he needs to see. Nothing worth wasting his energy on.

Summary
Murdoc is gone, and 2-D feels like a weight has been lifted from his shoulders until he realises he doesn't know what to do with himself. Maybe it's stupid to think so much about someone who treated you like shit for half of your life, but inexplicably he can't help it.
To 2-D, Murdoc lingers like a shadow. Noodle and Russel worry. And when a new member arrives to fill his place, everyone comes to the realisation that feelings are incredibly complicated.
