Across the crowded room, Roronoa Zoro lifted a sun-faded, wide-brimmed leather hat off his head and looked up to meet Sanji’s gaze for the first time in seven years. “Hey, cook,” he said.
Sanji calmly reached beneath the bar and hefted a shot glass into his hand, tossing it straight up and catching it in his palm to test the weight. Then he wound up and flung it unceremoniously at Zoro’s traitorous skull.
“Get the fuck,” Sanji said, “out of my bar.” -

The truth is, Sieun's life doesn't flash before his eyes at the end. He doesn't peer through the fabric of the universe, catch a glimpse of heaven, hear the voice of God. He just stares into the white glare of the oncoming headlights until he forgets what color looks like, and he thinks, Suho, I'm sorry. This is such a fucking stupid way to die. Then the truck hits him, and he stops thinking entirely.

Summary
Five years ago, Jayce made an impulsive offer to build Hextech weapons to combat the rising tide of Undercity airship piracy. In response, Viktor torched their research and disappeared from Piltover for good.
Five years ago, a new airship took to the skies, with a young captain and a misfit crew and a massive, impossible tree growing straight through the hull.
These two events are completely unrelated - unless, of course, they're not.
Jayce steps into Viktor's space. His fist closes in the lapel of Viktor's overcoat. It's a little foolish, but he half-expects this whole thing to be some kind of hallucination. Something at the back of his brain imagines his hand will pass through Viktor like mist. It doesn't, and that, more than anything, makes this feel like more than a hypervivid variation on the same dream Jayce has been having for years now.
In his dreams, Viktor always has the clammy chill of a cadaver. This Viktor feels so warm under Jayce's hand, he thinks his skin might come away scalded. -

Instead, after ten years as Singed's apprentice, he finds two lost children on the worst night of their lives and gives them a home. In many ways, this changes everything. “No. You’re going to do something much worse than killing Silco,” Viktor tells Benzo’s ward. “He wants you dead. Out of his path, as he continues to forge forward. Instead, you’re going to survive.”
Viktor offers the boy his hand. “We are obstacles. All three of us. We’ll take care of each other."
I’ll keep him alive. I’ll keep them both alive, he offers Benzo’s ghost. Vander’s, too. A meager attempt at atonement, perhaps, but it's the last thing he has left to give.

Summary
It’s on one such sunny afternoon that Sanji finds himself sitting at the base of a large tree, enjoying the warm temperatures while simultaneously shaded by its leafy branches. It’s peaceful out here, so much so that he can almost pretend he’s not a patient in a hospital who has no real plan for what he’s going to do next.
He flinches as that thought occurs to him, his shoulders already hunching protectively up around his ears. At the same time, completely without his permission, his hands start to bury themselves in his hair, tugging at the strands until they hurt.
“Stop it,” he tells himself sternly, rocking slightly back and forth. “Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. You’re fine. Everything’s going to be fine. There’s nothing to worry about here. Germa’s done, the rock’s done, and you made it through both. You’ll - ”

Summary
“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.

“Cook,” Zoro deadpans, eye narrowed. “If you want to guess sometime this century, you need to stop listing women.”

In which Sanji gets captured by pirate hunters, Zoro is in the right place at the right time, and one thing leads to another. You know how it is.
