Summary
Sir Guy, as the most senior of the knights, was the first to bury himself in the princess with a quiet grunt of satisfaction.
As he was also the most courteous, he had arranged her very thoughtfully; she sat in his lap and faced outwards, such that the others around the table could see her wondering expression and the shape her mouth made as he pressed inside.

One warm morning, Rilla sets out to convince Arum that Damien isn't quite so delicate after all.
“He’s not a brawler, after all, and it was hardly an equitable contest, given that he had no knowledge of my abilities, yet I was prepared for--”
“I’ve heard the tale, Damien.” She said it without offense, gave his thigh a little squeeze. “But the fact remains that in a direct contest of strength, he lost. I just don’t see why he has to go on about what a helpless and succulent little morsel you are.” -

Detective Peter Nureyev receives a late-night visitor.
Silhouetted in the doorway was a dame with legs for days and a set of shoulders that made my mouth dry. He was wearing a tight red number and a smile. I set down my whiskey. We looked at each other.
“We’re closed,” I said again.
“We’ll agree to disagree about that.”

The day Frank Columbo met Eugenio Franchitti was a day blessed by God: God and all the real angels and saints, specifically Adjutor, Philip Neri, and Barbara. The war was going full swing; on the beach there were the leftovers, the women and boys and girls, and the oldest Franchitti kids who hadn’t shipped overseas, Geno and Cecilia, first cousins. Frank hadn’t noticed ’em at first, either of ’em, the tall and lanky boy and girl with skin like gold and eyelashes like fringed velvet burlesque fans, physical traits the magazines said you could shell out for but the Franchitti kids had ’em in spades all natural; but once he had he couldn’t stop noticin'.

Jack was still not quite sure how Darling had managed to swing them a shared staircase with no one else on it for their final year. "Interlopers, my dear Jonathan," Darling had said, "are not to be borne in this, our collegiate idyll."

M’Baku fought for T’Challa. But should he keep fighting for T’Challa’s vision? The king is professing change, such deep change, while the Jabari are supposed to be the guardians of tradition.
It’s a complex problem, which demands a cool head. So M’Baku could really do without an old love coming back to haunt him, an obnoxious royal teenager, and T’Challa’s secret one-armed guest.

Summary
This is a copy of an essay I wrote for my "Music and Literature" course. It examines six songs related to Captain America, beginning with the infamous Star Spangled Man with a Plan" and then fan-produced filk music, and how transformative fandom has influenced the Captain America and Steve Rogers identities.
"The importance of the individual Steve Rogers becomes relegated to the side when considering the power of the Captain America mythos yet at the same time, it is impossible to have Captain America without the individual. Taking both figures into consideration, transformative fandom has appropriated both the individual and the mythos into political statements offering subversive readings of a hegemonic cultural production."
