Summary

Gojo looks down at him with a mixture of amusement and suspicion. So it goes between them. Suguru trying to take out one of his luminescent eyes with a throwing star was just a little foreplay.
“Well, well, look what the dead girl dragged in. My favorite detective. How’s it hanging, Suguru? Catch any murderers lately, or are you still taking payoffs?”
Suguru tilts his head back and flicks his bangs out of his face, the ‘fuck you’ just on the tip of his tongue. “Cute coming from the man I’ve accepted payoffs from multiple times,” he replies easily.

Suguru was out cold, curled on his side facing away from the door, one long leg bent at the knee, the other stretched out and that was just his usual pose to find comfort in and sleep but that's not what Satoru's eyes fell upon.

Or where,
satoru knows that more or less he exceeds limits sometimes just to get his own way with many things but he thinks that maybe getting dango with his best friend in a shitty and cheap hotel room after an exhausting mission wasn't really something that should be limited to him.
but maybe it wasn't really dango what he was hungry for.

Summary
This story takes place in Amarāvati, which is home to one of the oldest and largest Buddhist stupas in the world, dating back to 3rd Century CE. In the story's universe there is recorded history of cultural exchange between India and Japan in the 10th century AD and the art of Jujutsu originates from Tantric Buddhist tradition practiced by Mahayāna Buddhists.
Gojo belongs to a clan of Samurai warriors who travel across the seas to study Mahayāna Buddhism in Amarāvati.
Suguru is the princess of the last surviving kingdom of Mahayāna Buddhists in 10th Century AD descending directly from Sage Nagarjuna, the author of Mahayāna's founding scriptures.
The couple's love and longing remains unfulfilled during their first union but a thousand and ten years later, they are reborn as the Gojo and Geto we know from Gege’s story.
They reunite to rewrite their destiny and be together in this lifetime. This historical reimagination combined with omegaverse tells the epic tale of the love between a stoic warrior and a revered royal maiden as well as the reimagined fate of the strongest duo who are each other's one and only.
