Summary
Wade meets Peter first and Spider-Man second but comes to the obvious conclusion anyway: Peter Parker must be the secret flame Spidey is trying to protect with the whole secret-identity shebang. While Deadpool might be morally lax in many ways, he is not a homewrecker, even if Peter is all soft smiles and doe-eyes.

Summary
Peter Parker was a ghost.
He was an outsider looking in at the world and having no real place within it. He was the shadow at the back of the lecture halls at MIT, the quiet oddity that no one thought to look twice at.
He’d learnt how to separate his life, separated Spider-Man and Peter Parker until they were just two beings existing in the same vessel. Spider-Man was extraordinary; Peter Parker was unremarkable. He left New York behind, left the Avengers behind and existed within a world that no longer knew his name.
But when an internship opportunity at Stark Industries was presented to the students as a surprise, Peter finds himself shoved back into a world he left behind.
But there’s something odd happening in the streets of New York. Something rotting, a pestilence sweeping in silently in the form of strange criminals and even stranger weapons. Spider-Man, delving deeper into this unravelling web of corruption, realises that perhaps nothing is how it seemed, perhaps nothing about his life was ever truly his.
After all, how far does free will go, if everything about his life has been dictated by another?

Summary
Peter often wondered about the atomic bomb.
More than most teenagers should, probably. Though most teenagers weren’t vigilantes either. In any event, his wonderings had nothing to do with his extracurriculars. It was only tangentially related, in the way he seemed to be able to detonate his entire life in seconds, in an exorbitantly bright and colorful manner.
The thing was, an atomic bomb didn’t start with the explosion, although everyone always focused on that bit. Humans always did have a fascination with things that killed them, and from a humanitarian perspective, the damage was what was important. But coming from a more chemical perspective, the explosion was almost incidental.
The real danger was in the preparation, in the way two things that were stable on their own could be forced together under exactly the right — or wrong — conditions. Not inherently volatile, nor doomed from the start, but close enough and aligned until a reaction became inevitable.

OR: Peter nearly dies, goes into a coma, wakes up, and then gets himself into a hostage situation, all while Tony is acting strangely distant. It is, objectively, not a good month for him.

Summary
“I had scoliosis,” Peter whispered, not looking away from where they’d heard the metal snap. He had gone pale. Bucky was sure he was a few shades lighter, himself. “That’s… that’s what I was gonna say before."
“Yeah?” Bucky asked. He loosened his grip on Peter’s shoulder, but didn’t take his hand away.
“My back still hurts sometimes,” Peter explained quietly. “But that might be because of the swinging. Hard to find a strong enough chiropractor to crack it, you know? Maybe… maybe two thousand tons of concrete would do it, though.” Bucky leveled his gaze at the kid. Peter looked back at him, swallowing hard.
“Let’s call that Plan B, okay?” Bucky suggested.
“Yeah, okay,” Peter mumbled.
---
Or, Peter gets caught in the collapse of a parking garage with a (mildly) concussed Bucky Barnes, and has a nice get-to-know-you sesh with our favorite super soldier while waiting for Tony to find a safe way get them out. Super chill, right? Everything's fine. Oh- and he's been impaled by two rods of rebar and can't move without risking bleeding out. That... complicates things.
