He sensed he was not alone, whipping around to find four figures at the entrance to the alley, blocking him in. Jungkook was not short, yet these men towered over him, four times his size. They approached him casually, but Jungkook recognized the deep-seated hatred on their faces. They reminded him of his father.
“You wanna show me that again, kid?” One of the middle ones sneered, and Jungkook backed away. They didn’t seem in any hurry, steadily approaching Jungkook until he hit the cold back wall of the alleyway.
“Please,” he whispered, sinking to the ground and squeezing his eyes shut. He felt one of them kick him, and the same voice as before piped up once again.
“Aw, you’re no fun. Come on, little magician, hit me with your best shot.”
He wanted to. God, did Jungkook want to. But he couldn’t. He barely understood what he was, sure as hell didn’t know what he’d done to his father. This, whatever this was, was uncontrollable as far as Jungkook was concerned. Fear locked up his body, froze his heart, and he could do absolutely nothing as the men jeered.
