You know that bus only comes every half hour? I had no choice but to wait for the next one and my phone died while I was sending a snapchat about my unfortunate evening. Then I saw someone who looked even more unfortunate across the street in this restaurant. He kept checking his watch and looking out the window and getting harassed by a pretty waitress for such a long time! It looked like the poor bloke was stood up by his date. So I decided to come in and save the night!” '

“And you owe me a favor,” Hanamaki adds helpfully.
“That doesn’t even make any sense!”
“Sure it does.” Hanamaki’s smile widens. “Issei and I are practically the same person by now, anyway, so whatever favor you owe me, you also owe him. And by repaying me, you are repaying him, and in turn he is repaying Oikawa. Think of it as, like, the transitive property of equality. A equals B equals C. A equals C.”
“I know what the transitive property of equality is,” Hajime snaps.
