Summary
We had been at the base of the collapsed habitat section for approximately three minutes. Approximately, because one of the large, heavy bits of plasteel that had been raining down on us had knocked my system offline for the first minute or so.
I was pinned beneath a large structural support, which was infuriatingly cliche, and had happened no less than three times in Strife in the Galaxy.
Performance reliability at 42%.
Mainly because I couldn’t stand up.
Or, Murderbot and Gurathin trapped in a collapsed building.

Summary
He’d learned a lot about “Benny” from their whispers. The second thing Alex learned about “Benny” was death followed. The next thing he learned was he was gone, now (don’t mention the name in front of Mrs. Blanc).
riiing riiing “Helloo?” A southern drawl cracked to life.
“Uhm, well I—er…” Alex muttered, trying to find the words that fit this situation. Maybe he should just lay it all out. “Uhm, I’m from Calvary Baptist Church and I heard about you, uh, and was wondering if you could…help me?”
Blanc sighed, “help you with, what exactly?”
Alex has heard the legend of “Benny” in Calvary Baptist Church. When Alex is in trouble, he finally speaks to the legend that haunts its halls.

Summary
"The two of them stared at each other, and Phillip would probably have blushed if he hadn’t known, with absolute certainty, that what they were about to do would change the entire wedding reception, and perhaps his life. He didn’t know how he knew, exactly, but he could feel the impending danger of being with the detective like a prickle on his skin."
At an otherwise boring wedding reception, Phillip’s very first meeting with Benoit Blanc turns his world upside down when one of the wedding guests ends up dead.

Summary
The Avengers have been infected, turned violent and aggressive against their will. And Peter, the only one unaffected, is trapped inside the Tower with six feral teammates.
“Natasha,” Peter says cautiously, “what happened here? Steve attacked me, and if there was ever a sign that something was wrong, it’s having the embodiment of Truth, Justice, and the American Way throw you across the room—”
Natasha comes closer, her stride controlled. Nothing necessarily out of the ordinary, but there’s something in her face, in her eyes—
Natasha lunges across the space, and slams into Peter, hard.
