Summary
The world where there wasn't a brain scan, where humans were dragged into a computer against their will... it's not a world with happy endings. And when the humans are ejected from the Circus, missing one of their own, they don't just get to go back to their lives. There's hospitals, and police, and desperately trying to be believed, followed by just as desperately trying to be left alone. But the one thing they have is each other. TADC AU – Non-SOMA, Escape the Circus. Everyone is insanely codependent and the way they got out was so traumatizing they can barely talk about it. Pomni tries her best to hold everyone together, while also getting re-used to a life outside, and wondering which world was actually better.

Ryland Grace woke with a start, opening his eyes before quickly squeezing them shut against the bright light of the room. His head was tipped back, the top pressing back into a soft surface. Turning his face to the side, away from the direct view of the light, he gave a few cautious blinks until his eyes adjusted. After a moment, he carefully looked up, rolling his head into an upright position to look around the room.
