Summary
Peter hates Greasy Pete’s.
He hates the smell of the food, stomach twisting itself into knots and making him queasy— from hunger and from revulsion in equal measure. He hates the customers, who are shitty at best and actively horrible at worst. He hates waking up before the sunrise every day, shivering in his apartment because even if he has a job now that can help pay his rent, it’s barely enough to cover anything else— all the blankets and clothes that he owns still not being enough to keep him warm.
Most of all, Peter thinks he just hates Greasy Pete’s because of what it stands for— a routine and a schedule that Peter doesn’t really want to have because he doesn't want much of anything anymore.

Summary
When the Avengers stumble upon Peter Parker, he is not a fifteen year old, bubbly, nerdy high school student. He is eighteen, homeless, and a drug addict.
Peter refuses to let them discover the squalor he lives in when the mask is off, refuses to ruin their perfect little makeshift family with all his dirt, refuses to get too close.
Unfortunately, he doesn't really have a choice.

Summary
There was one cat, he liked it the most. It reminded him of the tricks with alley cats, where they’d meow at you out of habit. They'd tell you what you wanted to hear, and stare at you with big eyes expectantly.
In South America, a margay would mimic the sound of a monkey crying. It's parents would run over, tricked by the lure. Then the margay would pounce when its prey was unaware, being victorious over the trickery of voice. It was interesting, chattering and talking and small and unassuming; brilliant like the hunter it was.
Shinsou knew he was cursed with a quirk like his; he was destined for crime and other illicit abilities. Already people had made comments, already he walked home alone without fear because a few words and he’d be fine. Already, the men in his neighbourhood knew not to attack the kid with purple hair.
A margay was a beautiful forest predator, it didn’t fear anyone or anything.
Shinsou wanted to be a hero, he wanted to prove them wrong.
His mother maybe didn’t give a shit anymore, but he still did.
Shinsou applied to UA.
You want me to chatter? I'll sink my claws in you.

Summary
“I’m Tim,” he says, though introducing himself to a puppy makes him flush in embarrassment. “Are you hungry?”
The dog blinks at him, all scared eyes.
“Where’s your family?” Tim asks. “Did they leave you?”
(Or: Tim Drake finds a friend.)
