Miranda studied the tie closest to Nigel’s wrist, a patternless option in tangerine. She picked it up and beckoned Andrea over with a bend of one finger. Once close enough, she draped the tie over her assistant's left shoulder to compare it against the large apricot-toned hibiscus on the print of her blouse. It was exactly the color she was looking for, and as Miranda smoothed the fabric with her hand, she could feel Andrea’s heart thundering beneath her palm.
