Summary
For Ifa in the end was a son of the Flower-Feather Clan, through and through. Most comfortable rushing through the air, hat barely clinging on in the hot Phlogiston current, hundreds of metres off the ground on the back of the fiercest saurians. Independent, strong-willed, and above all, free. The Anemo vision clasped securely to his back was surely testament enough to that. Yet despite savouring this life up in the sky, flying from place to place, he had never realised how nice it was to have a safe home - a safe person - there to ground him when he lands. Ororon; with his strange quirks and odd mannerisms, had become the one steadying, familiar presence in the chaotic whirlwind that was Ifa’s life.
or, five times Ororon leads Ifa to a realisation, and one time Ifa returns the favour.

Summary
The odd panic she feels when Joel avoids her gaze after she tries to meet his eyes with her own. The paranoia that floods her when he stops initiating casual contact, only touching her after washing his hands several times - like he was terrified of having to feel her newly slippery skin. She had tried, over and over again, to reassure herself that there was probably a reasonable explanation for his forced distance, and everything would return to normal in due time - but when a week passed and he still maintained that cautious separation, she could not help but conclude that he could not stand the sight of her new body, and he had lost his affection for her. It made sense, after all. She was not human anymore.
Which, of course, led to only one possible solution: to reverse her transformation.
or, The Ocean Orb leaves more than just a few aesthetic changes on Lizzie. She’s scared Joel is losing interest in her. This is not a combination that results in good decision making.

Alhaitham has learned he has never been the same as other people; but then again, he has never particularly wanted others to be the same as him. Indeed, his life would be substantially easier if the average Sumerian gained a modicum of his common sense. However, he was keenly aware of the limits in experiencing life through his sole perspective. To truly attain the depth of wisdom he desires, he has to understand life from another angle. Gain insight by examining a disparate point of view. Study the world through a different lens. Some knowledge, in the end, cannot be reached on one’s own.

She did… apologise, in the end,” she concedes. “Gave the Marionette’s location, which allowed us to retrieve the Moon Marrow. Yet, after all that…” Her voice cracks, helpless. “I still cannot find it in myself to forgive her. How can I tell my people to forgive her, to preach mercy and compassion when I struggle to do so?”
She faces Nefer, her expression a portrait of anguish, her words a plaintive plea. “How can I guide my flock, when I am lost myself?”
