“I miss it, y’know” Tyler began, turning from where he was laying with his arms behind his head to stare at the way the dwindling light caught Josh’s side profile.
Josh’s eyes were closed, basking in the last dregs of evening heat. “Miss what?” he questioned.
“This. Us. The simplicity of being in the back of a van and hoping that even twelve people would show up to watch us perform.” Tyler let out a low hum, a small sound that Josh recognised as something the singer did to soothe himself when he didn’t know how to approach something. “I just– I just think that things were easier then. We had more control.”
