I was asleep when it happened. I'd woken up without my meories on a suicide mission to save the sun and met and tentitivly befriended an alien(!!) this past month. My life was already going crazy.
So why wouldn't a blood covered person appear out of nowhere on my ship. And oh boy, its a kid the age of my students. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Fun fact: In 1983, Dr. Sally Ride became the first American female physicist and astronaut sent into space. NASA engineers famously packed almost 100 tampons for her flight—asking if that would be enough for a single, one-week mission.
Exactly forty years later, the Hail Mary is launched into deep space to solve the astrophage problem. Launched with it are three (meager) boxes of standard-pack condoms and a two-year supply of birth control pills. Unfortunately, the Project Hail Mary logistics team back on Earth heavily underestimated the sheer, touch-starved horniness of the ship's surviving mission specialists.
Or: You and Dr. Ryland Grace have completely depleted the ship's contraceptive supplies on the trajectory to Erid. Now, it’s a lazy morning on an alien planet, and you both must use your scientific problem-solving skills to handle a very sticky, and very urgent predicament. (To which you both fail. Miserably.)
