Summary
Billy Kaplan would love to lock himself in his room and avoid everyone forever. But after an unnatural event revealed his true identity, he has to live honestly now and can never go back to how he used to live, especially as a Kaplan. On the other hand, as a mutant, he might find a place where he truly fits in, just like any other mutant. Meanwhile, Tony Stark and Charles Xavier often argue over who gets to whom.
Where does Billy Kaplan belong? The Avengers, where his disgraced mother was, or a new name for himself with the X-Men?
While he learns about his powers independently at the Xavier Institute, he also receives guidance on how to use them. Still, even Billy might be overwhelming for the Professor, given his link to a cosmic Emperor... but the story doesn't end there, as something inside him finds comfort and peace through the warmth of another man.
Billy must choose to embrace all of himself and not be afraid of himself, including both his powers and his orientation.

Summary
Peter Parker grew up in an orphanage and was new to the superhero scene, believing he was doing good for New York City. However, when a symbiotic alien obsessed with him and his body shows up, he begins to question if the unwanted attention that comes with being a hero is worth it.
Eddie Brock has built a reputation in journalism over the years, starting at the Daily Bugle and later at the Daily Globe. He never expected to be drawn into a horny symbiote's plan to produce an army of its offspring with Peter Parker. Given that he knew Peter personally from visiting the orphanage where he was raised—he was somewhat of a father figure to the orphans—he never imagined he would end up being romantically involved with him.
Venom from Klyntar, an underdog among his species, was eager to leave his dying planet and take an early move on Earth. He aimed to fill the Earth with his offspring so that when the rest of the Klyntar arrive, he would have an army to back him up and eliminate the other members of his species. However, his initial plan just to breed with Pete might change as he gets to know him and Eddie, perhaps even softening when he becomes a father.

Peter tried hard not to pace in the small stairwell outside of Nelson and Murdock's law firm. He didn’t know what to do and he could barely afford the fees as it is but he has to at least try. If not for his sake then for the sake of . . . He couldn’t think about that right now. He had to focus on what he was going to tell his possible lawyers. He pulled out his notebook and went over the details again.
