Summary
Last night, Garak had found himself in a dream, so sharp and real that it had taken him hours to shake the dread. It was this very conversation, but gone in a terribly different direction. The images came back to him now - Bashir's confusion, his amusement tinged with disgust, his eyes going cold and distant at the very idea that he would allow such familiarities, that Garak could ever deserve to -
"It's of no consequence," Garak spat out.
Bashir shifted slightly in his seat. "Yes, I can see that."
A silence stretched between them, impenetrable and unyielding.
"Look," Bashir said finally, leaning forward again. "I had this thought. It might be mad, but - well, it's been too long since you and I had a bit of fun at Dukat's expense, isn't it?"

Summary
0300 hours. Two visitors in the Deep Space Nine infirmary, neither of them logged through the proper channels. One of them is a Terran resistance captain. The other, a comatose Gul with a body count in the triple digits and a malfunctioning implant in his brain. Their faces are familiar, but their lives are not. Duty bound to save a life, Dr. Julian Bashir tries to untangle the threads before it's too late. It would probably be easier if his friend the tailor didn't insist on sticking his nose where it doesn't belong…

Summary
"Good evening, my dear. I trust I haven't kept you waiting?"
Julian huffed out a laugh. "You know exactly what you've done, you menace."
Garak clicked his tongue. "Is that any way to speak to your husband?"
"Seems appropriate. You've been driving me to distraction for days."
"I'm sure I don't know to what you are referring," Garak said, a warning in his eyes. It was hard to gauge sometimes when it was just part of the game, but Julian couldn't imagine this would be the part he was unwilling to discuss on record. After all, there was plenty of textual evidence.
"I've done everything you asked," Julian said, fluttering his lashes. "I think I deserve some quid pro quo, Minister."

Summary
Daniel reaches a hand out to run his fingers over the name when he notices that the mausoleum is still ever so slightly damp.
“What the…?”
“Hello, Daniel,” a lovely accented voice says from behind him.
Daniel represses a shiver. He doesn’t even get cold anymore.
“Isn’t this nice?” he says as he turns. “I call, I leave messages, I look for you everywhere, and here you are… Cleaning graves a new hobby?”
Or: Daniel and Armand meet in a cemetery

Summary
Bringing the Romulans into the war and all that that entailed left Garak elated. Sisko hadn’t needed to ask, Garak had anticipated. He hadn’t felt this dangerous in years.
When Julian comes to confront him about the bio-mimetic gel and a handful of loose suspicions, Garak is prepared. His story will be the perfect balance of lies and misdirection and technical truths. He’s even prepared to sacrifice deeper, personal truths for the sake of keeping the conspiracy hidden. Besides, Garak has his own suspicions about what draws Julian to him, despite everything that Garak is, despite everything that he’s done.
