Slingshot choked on a sob as he wrote the final words he could muster.
“Please come back.”

There was one irrefutable truth: Slingshot was supposed to hate Coil with all of his being. The way he would constantly ragebait him and drive him up the wall at work spoke for itself, and there should have been no room for any sort of soft feelings. So how was he to explain the way he breaks down entirely when Coil goes missing all of a sudden? The one inphernal he should have despised, he found himself missing desperately. Slingshot isn't the only one impacted by the fallout of Coil's disappearance, and it's up to him to try to pick up the pieces left behind in his wake.

Winter has arrived at Crossroads, covering everything with a layer of soft, almost blanket like snow. The temperatures dropped, causing tiny icicles to form on the edges of windowsills and ledges all around.
