Mr. Weasley came into the kitchen then, setting a hand on one of Fred’s shoulders and one of George’s shoulders. He spoke to everyone in a kind, but serious tone.
“Which of you was in the living room late last night?”
I carefully put an entire egg in my mouth, watching on. My ears started to burn, despite me not having done anything inappropriate last night. I looked to Fred, who was doing everything to not look up from his plate. Since we were directly opposite each other at the table, he kept turning his head to the side, avoiding me entirely.
“I’m not mad, I just want to know why the blankets were a mess on the couch and rug.”
George ate a slice of tomato, “Not me.”
Ron perked up, “Not me.”
Ginny spoke next, “I was asleep with the cat.”
