Summary
"Earlier you wanted to say something."
It wasn't a question, but Henry received no reply. He was in no rush, though, and a leisurely man often had at least a facsimile of leverage.
Ducking under some foliage, Hans lied, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"You're an awful liar, sir."
"As if you're any better yourself."
"I am a better liar."
...
After the events of Suchdol, Henry and Hans find themselves at an impasse, neither willing to start the conversation pertaining to the newest aspect of their relationship. The awkward distance set as a result takes almost a week's time, a young girl's quest, a day in the woods, her missing ram, and a fist fight to resolve. -

Summary
Herman was a rather smart man. He knew this for a while now. It was the beginning and end of the perpetual conundrum he had to call his life, a poignant way to rephrase what his grandmother always drilled into him.
“You’re not stupid, Hermy. Just perpetually haunted by thought and plausibility, two concepts a dumbass’ll never know with a shotgun to the chest.”
…The Z-team has a pool party at Prism’s place. After weeks of avoiding and being avoided, Herman and Robert share a moment alone.

Summary
With a snap of a lipstick case, Al was gently pulled out and put back on his feet upon a supposedly cold sidewalk of 1984. Precious smoke faded into the night.

A compulsion fully his own, in a voice quiet and comfortable in his throat. "Looks good on you too, Sam."
...
Sam and Al explore and lose to the futility in testing if love could be vicariously had and felt through sub-quantum, miraculous means.
