    Summary

Clint Barton learnt that the easiest way to get paid is by standing to the side.
Look guilty, then they'll catch you.
Look too giddy, and they'll size you up.

    Be invisible.
You might lose your hearing otherwise.

But from that, you might gain a friend.
    ---

Clint Barton cannot fix a pipe to save himself, and Bucky needs a cheap apartment, damn the universe that made Clint the landlord. Or maybe that was just Bucky's luck?

    Summary

When Clint Barton gets snatched off the street, taken to an unknown secondary location, and kept tied up so he can spill his guts about the Avengers' secrets and then die painfully, it's pretty par for the course. There's a certain level of stupid, unavoidable risk that comes with making yourself present for every other city-collapsing threat with a bow and arrow. It's never convenient, but it is standard.

What isn't, however, is the dangerous tag-along he picks up on the way back home and the suspicious things happening when he gets there.
