Summary
Jungwon didn't mean to go for a drunken joyride with a stranger’s car. He also definitely didn't mean to fall for the most dangerous man in prison. But here he is, locked in a cell across from Park Jay - and he doesn’t plan on going anywhere else.

Summary
“Are you okay with all this?” He chews on his nail, feeling it bend against his teeth.
Jay’s eyes drill deeper into his. There’s a slight upward arc to the corner of his lip. “Yeah.”
Jungwon almost laughs. “Are you lying to me?”
Suddenly the air feels less tense. Jay shrugs a shoulder and tilts his head. “Yeah.”
(Or: Jungwon sleeps with his ex and doesn’t know what it means.)

“I asked you a question,” Jongseong says, though his voice is softer.
“My lord,” the courtesan finally says, his hands shifting as he folds his palms upwards. “I am here to serve you as you like for the night.”
“Start with your name.” He is truly a pretty little thing, Jongseong thinks. It’s a pity he will have to die tonight.
Or: Jongseong passes through a town en route to his next battlefield. It just so happens the mutiny decides a pretty courtesan has a knife with his name on it.

Summary
Jungwon thought he knew everything about Jay with how much time they constantly spent together. Living together, working together, playing together. But with The Event that had started this whole thing less than three days ago, part of Jungwon had become obsessed with this new, hidden side of Jay. It was something he hadn’t seriously thought of before - maybe in the back of his head idly, or during his dreams, evidenced by the uncomfortable sticky feeling in his pants when he woke up some mornings - but not seriously like this. Not something obtainable.
Now Jungwon feared he would never be satisfied with not knowing every little thing about his hyung.

Summary
“Besides, what did I say? Hm?” Jungwon paused, wondering what Jay was referencing when he continued. “Hyung would do anything for you.”
Jungwon’s heart caught again. The words were already packed with so much meaning, so much love. When Jay had first said it two weeks ago, Jungwon was filled with a sense of comfort so strong it took him until Jay finished cooking his ramen to fight down the butterflies in his stomach to actually be able to eat it. But now-
Jungwon looked at Jay. Their eyes stayed stuck on each other as they breathed in the silence.
Now it felt different.
