“Yuuuuuta! Rika heeeeelps!”
And that’s when he sees it.
Under Rika’s left arm is Toge, her clawed hand wrapped around his middle so that the boy’s legs and arms dangle in mid-air. He’s so small next to Rika’s bulky form that he looks like a small kitten in her grasp, soft from sleep, his hair a mess, lavender eyes drooping.
Toge’s in his pajamas, face bare and sigils dark against his fair skin. He blinks at Yuuta, still hanging limply from Rika’s grasp, and raises a hand to wave at him idly.
“Konbu,” he mumbles, yawning.

Summary
Yuuta grew up in an affectionate household.
His parents were young, inexperienced, but lovingly, nonetheless. As a child he was quickly habituated to long hugs, hair ruffled with affection, and squishing his dad’s face between his small chubby hands so he would make funny faces during their playful squabbles.
It was easy to be happy, even because he got spoiled a bit more than necessary, and it wasn’t really hard to make friends at that age. All in all, he was always surrounded by people and showered with affection – his loving family, playing tag and handholding with his classmates and neighbors.

“Oh my God,” the child repeats breathlessly, sounding far older than any child his age should sound, unable to tear his eyes away from Satoru. The boy shakes faintly, shock maybe, words a shaky exhale, “it’s really- you’re- you look- this is— oh my God!”
Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
