There hadnt been anything particularlly telling Lityerses something was going to happen today. To be honest, he wouldve called the day so good. It was saturday, though he wasnt in school so that didnt mean anything to him. The sky was cloudy, as it usually got when Apollo was annoyed with Zeus. But he did plan on seeing the god later that night to watch some movies Apollo had mentioned that Lit apparently 'needed' to see, but he was happhy to oblige with that.

There was a nice breeze, which made it just a bit cool outside. So much better being cold than overheated. There wasnt too many people out, and no big disasters. So all in all, a pretty good day. Almost perfect. He had decided a walk would be a decent way to spend a couple of hours. He didnt think anything of it when hed gotten his headphones and had told Emmie about how long he'd be out.

'An hour at most. Just want some air.' And she'd been fine with it, told him to keep his phone on him and enjoy. He'd walked out just fine, with some music playing, and everything felt great.

Aka, the story of how none of it was fine.

"Oh, c’mon,” Qibli said. “Are you really saying that you can’t afford to spend at least the night here? It’ll be fun! It’s a festival night, you know.”
“It’s as if you’re trying to make me leave faster,” he said.
“It won’t be that bad. Take a day off for once. Give it a chance. I promise you'll enjoy it.”
Winter didn’t like the way Qibli smirked at him, as if he already knew that he would accept. “… Fine, you stupid smokebreather,” he said. “I’ll stay for a little bit.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

Perfection omds. Perhaps my favorite Qinter fic. Out of character? Maybe slightly. Do I care? Not even a little. Let me indulge. Beautifully written and I will probably revisit at least 30 times

    Summary

Apollo was having a perfectly good morning- right up until he vomited down the side of the sun chariot. Which was incredibly strange, if you asked him, because gods simply do not get sick.
As if that weren’t strange enough, an unintended meet-up with Percy Jackson in a Target parking lot revealed that the demigod was hearing prayers- something that Apollo was actually not responsible for, despite what Percy seemed to think.
Apollo didn’t need his prophetic powers to know this was going to be a looong day. But hey- at least he got to spend it with Percy. (Which, naturally, improved things considerably).

Percy has no idea what he’s done in his past life to have so much action in this one—especially with how he’s suddenly dressed in bedsheets with a god-not-god and Greek fishermen wives.

    Summary

This was an old dream. He’d had it many times before.

Jerry, standing before the Roman Senate.
Mars, waving his hand. A lyre, appearing on Jerry’s arm.
Jerry’s prophecy: “Crowns will fall to ash.”
Jupiter, standing between the new augur and a towering statue of himself.
Apollo, standing between his father and his son.
Olympus, Apollo on his knees, trembling, electricity jumping over his arms.
A stranger’s face, dark and stony. He says something, but the words are quiet.
The doors of the Palace of the Sun. Chained shut.

Or: Apollo has been missing for two and a half years, and there may or may not be an impending apocalypse.
