По мере того, как он приближается, ему приходится моргать, чтобы убедиться, что он все видит правильно. И шар зажигается нежным, белым светом, как будто способным с лёгкостью прогнать все страшные тени из детской в случае чего. Он выглядит таким приветливым. Такое ощущение, что Дин мог бы просто протянуть руку и поймать эту нежность в свои ладони без каких-либо последствий.
«Привет, Дин», – гудит шар.
Или: Каса изгоняют из его сосуда, и он оказывается не таким уж крутым парнем, каким его представлял Дин.

Summary
На лице Дина появляется сомнение, и он приподнимает одну бровь. Он выглядит таким уставшим: «Кас, это- здесь нет ничего, что я могу сделать с этим, ладно?», – его стены, его шипы, которые были вокруг него, когда Кастиэль вошел в ванную, превратились в ничто. В моменты, когда это происходит, Дин охотно показывает свою боль. И может быть- может, он всё-таки позволит Кастиэлю помочь.
«Всё это просто в моей голове.»
«Здесь нет ничего, что ты можешь сделать.»
Дин удивленно моргает, глядя на него.
«Но, как я уже говорил, есть кое-что, что я могу попробовать.»
Опустив глаза на свои руки, затем снова подняв их на Кастиэля, Дин выглядит сомневающимся. То, что когда-то было стыдом, теперь сменилось особо сильным смущением, когда он уточняет: «И это... это ведь не просто ещё больше мыла, не так ли?»
«Нет, Дин», – что-то нежное рождается на губах Кастиэля, поддёргиваясь в улыбке, – «Это не просто ещё больше мыла.»

"Right," Dean says eventually, gruffly. He looks down at his shoes. "I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life, man. It's—you know, yours. Do your thing, love who you love, whatever. I can't really stop you from loving me, if that's what you've decided to do, but I don't—I can't—"
"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"
Castiel hums. "We're good."

“What? No, dude, I’m telling you—”
“Your boyfriend turned down sex twice, once because you were concussed and your arm was broken, and once because he was about to drive out of state to help your brother,” Charlie summarises, brutal and unrelenting. “And you think that, what? You can never ask him for sex again because of that?”
Dean’s been playing catch-up his entire life, and he’s still figuring out the whole “asking for what I want” thing.

this is frustrating in the best way. dean is soooo mentally ill and unstable, he has CATASTROPHIC thinking godd it makes me ache sm (and im adoring every second of it)
seriously dean's thoughts, insecurities, self-worth and abandonment issues... how hard it is for him to just communicate... and the way he thinking about Cas.... everything.. all his character is so well written in this one -

And finally, Dean thought about Cas.
What it would all mean to have Cas in his entirety, in every way imaginable. To have him sleep caressed and sun-kissed beneath early morning sheets, the weight of his fingers tracing Dean’s palm down peaceful corridors, his scent cloaked in Dean’s very bones. To have his warmth as comfort and his hands as a guide that slid over Dean’s skin with familiarity. No more tentativeness, no more skimming the edges and tracing the seams of their story.
Peace. He wanted peace. But with Cas back from the Empty with his memories shredded, and Jack nowhere to be seen, what would peace even look like? And, after everything, was it something Dean deserved?

dean's emotional journey and his healing.... im so proud of him :( it's really nice to see how he started loving himself, his work, his home.. started loving literally every moment of his life. it means so much to my heart :( my baby:( my dean:( here he's really happy it's so precious
