He knows why Robin’s here, the deli, school, the leering presence of her father. All of the stress - they’ve talked about it before. Unspoken, they’ve also decided the best and easiest stress reliever. The point is poignant when he notices her tight top and revealing skirt, surely not what she wore to work today. The air is dense, like a rain cloud entering the cab of the car. It isn’t all bad, what simmers underneath will be exposed in due time. But how she feels comes first. They talk all about what happened at the deli today on their drive to the late night diner, they talk about roommates, school…expectations.

"He almost laughs when he sees Gerard’s name flash on his phone. No coy text this time. Frank answers it without a second thought, his face damn near split in half with amusement, “Domino's pizza, can I take your order?”
“Frank, do you know how long I’ve been looking for those shorts?” Gerard does not play around, he does sound like he’s trying to be stern but there’s an edge to his voice that sends heat right to the core of Frank’s stomach.
“One pineapple and pepperoni pizza, surely you can eat all of that by yourself Mr. Way.” Frank decides that he can also skip answering in place of playing his own game. He sets his guitar back in the case before slouching back into his couch.
“You sneaky little fuck, I should have known it was you. You’re going to stretch those shorts out and I’ll never be able to wear them again.” Gerard also skips through the game, practically growling down the line at him. It’s kind of hot."

The name is something ridiculous and vaguely French sounding, and the window displays are dark and artistic, flashing the kind of wares that Frank would normally have no reason to be looking at, except that he can’t stop looking.
He’s seen the way that Gerard looks at shops like these. They spend a lot of time in malls on the road, and he’s seen it enough to get an idea of the kinds of things Gerard likes. That, along with how the other man reacts when Frank calls him things like pretty, gorgeous, my girl.
This is also the kind of thing that’ll get Frank slapped if he’s wrong about it. But the dress in the shop window has him willing to take that risk.
