Chapter Text
To Min Yoongi, dreams were the most obscurely beautiful and undetectable human phenomenon. It amazed him greatly, as to how each time he closed his eyes, he would be taken to lands which neither he had thought of nor did they exist. It was amazing how each time he saw a stranger in his dream, according to science, it was someone he had definitely seen before. It was said to be impossible for humans to create new faces.
However, Yoongi begged to differ to that part of science. Even though being the head Priest of the Church, it would be a lie if you said that the male did not have faith in God but it would also be a lie, if you said he did not find much more logical solutions in life through science, as compared to kneeling in front of God.
He found the fights between humans over the statements “God Is Real.” and “God Isn’t real.” to be very foolish. At the end of the night, he needed to pray to God to blame his sins on and he needed science to feel the safety of indoors. The clean balance between the two was why humans could exist without the fear of breaking apart.
However, as much as science had given clear answers with proof, Yoongi liked to believe that humans had the ability to create a human form of life with a face inside their heads. As, each time Yoongi fell asleep, a very bright boy, almost too pure to the human visited him. He was no older than the age of three, his body emitted the light of God and he was the one Yoongi could share his fears with.
Yoongi doesn’t remember seeing that boy, ever in his life. Neither was he a part of his life before he had joined the church; deducting the fact that the period before becoming the Church’s child was almost fading away from his memories. Each day, as he grew older, the further the trauma was pushed by his fear of looking back.
Even though he didn’t know the boy’s name, knew no proof to his existence, wasn’t sure if his brain had picked up a random child or not; Yoongi still each night, closed his eyes to let his fears out to the boy; as he saved him from his misery, burden, and guilt.
Even though the boy saved him, why did his eyes plead to be saved? Why was Yoongi so drawn to it? There were no answers from Science and neither any from God.
He often wondered if he wanted to know the answer when he could just live on the cloud of lies.
