A gentle breeze flicks Natsuo’s little tufts on his head as he walks alongside with his dear lover, Tenko Shimura, also known as Tomura Shigaraki, but really only to ones who couldn’t look past his old self.
They walk hand in hand though the park as cherry blossoms slowly drift away from the tree it came from. Few land on Natsuo’s hair, but far fewer on Tenko’s soft milky hair. The sun slowly tilts toward the horizon, making the blues turn into oranges and yellows.
Lucky for Tenko, there are very few people to witness these two “unusual lovers,” not that he cared, but he hated people watching them. In their eyes, how could this have happened. How in the hell did a boy like Natsuo, a smart young man? from a rich and famous family, date one of the most feared men in Japan?
And if Tenko were to be honest, he had no idea either. Besides with his high rankings in power and position in the society. He didn’t understand what made him so special. He would understand if Natsuo dated to say “fuck you” to his disgusting father or just in it for the money and fame. But.. for some reason,.Natsuo actually loves him.
Natsuo feels the same way---why would someone like Tenko date him? There is his lineage with the hero Endeavor, if the media found out that would surely bring out chaos for a while, but that’s about it. Who the fuck would want to date a boring college dude with family issues?
To tell the truth, they have no idea how they got here. Well they did, but it still confuses them.. The two had a rocky start, unsure of the other, a hero spawn and a villain, who would trust the other? As time passed, however, they slowly warmed up to each other and got to know each other as they got to know little things, like Natsuo’s soft spot for puppies and Tenko’s sweet tooth. The relationship between them got better and better, and they soon fell in love with each other.
The sun is halfway visible as it continues to fade back into the night. The sky illuminates a beautiful yellow glow that shines over everything its light can reach. The two near their end of their walk when Natsuo spots a branch off in the distance in an open field. The branch connected to a grand cherry blossom tree that beats all the others.
“Hey, honeybaby, wanna go sit up there.” Natsuo nudges his head in the direction of the lone tree.
“Wouldn’t Fuyumi be upset if we were late to dinner?”
“Hmm, I bet she wouldn’t mind if we were a little late. Besides Shoto would love to have all the soba to himself with Izuku.”
Natsuo grins, which always makes Tenko’s heart beat a little bit faster. And he had to finish it off with a little kiss on his scarred lips. Damn, one day he was going to faint from his bulky boyfriend.
The tree wasn’t very far, but it took some time to reach it. Natsuo sits and leans on the dark trunk of the tree. Tenko took this opportunity to rest his head on Natsuo’s lap and gaze into his pearly grey eyes that shine like diamonds.
Natsuo looks up to watch as the cherry blossoms sway as they fall to the ground then looks back to Tenko. “How’s Himiko doing with the clothing line? I heard she’s out to make a new one soon.”
“Yeah, her and Ochako have been working at it non stop. Comp- I mean Atsuhiro insisted he would help, but they want to keep it a surprise. They said they have special ones for us.”
“Ohohoho, I bet they are going to make us one that stupidly matches.” Tenko giggles, “knowing them they will, probably add bows too and all that crap.”
“Hey, at least you suffer with me.” They both giggle as they watch the stars show up in the sky, beaming down their starlight faces to earth.
Natsuo plays with Tenko’s hair, untangling it and twisting it around his fingers.
After a few minutes of relaxing, Tenko leans in to Natsuo’s touch. “How’s Rei doing?”
“She’s doing just fine, her and Touya started watching this anime called Haikyuu!!, which is a volleyball anime apparently? Yeah and mom says her favorite is someone named...Sugar? Suga? Yeah Suga, they have like grey hair?? I don’t know but she likes him. And Touya likes Hinata the main...which is kinda surprising.”
Natsuo always smiles when he talks about his family doing well, which never fails to make Tenko grin“You know, Natsuo, have I told you...how cute you are.” The last part came out as a low whisper, Natsuo still catches it though, his smile becoming wider.
“Oh? Tell me how cute I am then.” Natsuo's smile almost hurts his face, but he can’t help it. Tenko usually doesn’t talk about stuff like this. Natsuo leans down, “Tell me, Bun Bun.”
Tenko shakes his head as he laughs and pushes Natsuo’s head away.
“Oh my god what’s with you and these pet names.” Tenko holds his stomach as his laughs were longer than he expected.
“Oh but you see, darling, I’m not good with affectionate words, so affectionate names will have to do, squishy face.”
Tenko bursts into laughter. “Oh my god stop!”
Natsuo more by ruffling his hair up.
“Why should I, you cute kitten.” Tenko looks at him with a twinkle in his eyes.
“Cause I said so, stud muffin.”
“Lover boy.”
“Buttercup.”
“My love nugget.”
“Love Dove.”
“Cute rat.”
“Stupid teddy bear!”
“Idiot!”
“”Noob!”” Natsuo playfully punches Tenko’s shoulder as he laughs uncontrollably. Natsuo almost falls over but Tenko balances him back up just barely cause of his own undying laughter.
After a bit the laughing died down as they recollected themselves. Natsuo sighs, “Seriously though, what makes me so cute?”
“What? You want your ego boosted? Wow.”
Natsuo shakes his head and his hands. “No no! I’m generally curious. That’s if you want to tell me.” Natsuo rubs the back of his neck.
Tenko looks back up at the sky and thinks. “Hmm.”
What makes Natsuo so cute? Everything? Probably. Okay, yes, everything. Even his dumb Moomin plush. “Well, honestly I can only pick a few out that I’ll admit.”
“Oh?” Natsuo leans down and blocks the stars above Natsuo. “Well..,” Tenko presses his mouth to a thin line and he blushes lightly.
“There’s...a lot of things. Your eyes are..really gorgeous. Also I find your love of knowledge on butterflies cute. Your horrible taste in dark chocolate. And this may not be considered cute, but your really understanding person, and you don’t take people’s shit. Especially mine, which is one of the things I love you for. Of course, no one is a perfect saint or angel, definitely not you and I, but I like your imperfections since they show that you're real and here and not a figment of my imagination or some shit ass guy.”
Natsuo stares, at a loss of words. Did Tenko mess up? Well at least he doesn’t regret what he said. It’s all true in his eyes.
“Tenko...” Natsuo cheeks were red like ripe strawberries and eyes wide like an owl. Then he presses a kiss on Tenko’s lips. And again. And again. And again.
Tenko grins, “Have I also told you I love your little hair tuffs? So small and cute.”
He reaches up and swats them.
Natsuo chuckles.“ There’s nothing else? Just a little decoration on me?”
“Hhhmmm.” Tenko's mouth turns into a mischievous grin.
“Well..I can do this.” Tenko shoots up and bites down one of his tuffs giving it a little tug then laying back down in his lap.
“God, you’re so fucking weird.” Natsuo shakes his head and a small snicker escapes.
“And you love me for it. Also you like dark chocolate while white chocolate is obviously better-“ Natsuo bonks Tenko’s head in return while Tenko squawks.
“God, you're becoming Namu.”
“Izuku’s dumbass bunny? I’m nowhere near close to that little shit.”
“You literally just bit me.”
“I bit your hair!” Tenko hissed.
“You still bit me!”
Tenko grabbed Natsuo’s collar and pulled him close to his face. “I’m not. A biter.”
“But you are a cute bunny.”
Natsuo kisses him again. It took Tenko far too long to process what just happened before his face turned red. He covers his cheeks with his elbow.
“Aww, your cute when your flustered.” “Shut up!”
Tenko lifts his arm off his face, then he cups Natsuo’s face and kisses him, which leaves Natsuo stunned. “You’re cute when you're flustered.”
“Heh,” Natsuo wraps his hand around Tenko’s, “I love you.”
“...I love you too.”
They stayed like that for a few minutes before Tenko sits up and leans against Natsuo’s shoulders. They should really be going, but just a little longer. They gaze into the endless night sky, scattered with stars. You can almost hear them twinkle, as if they are singing a song to come home to.
Unfortunately, this will never happen. But the star sky was forever there, whenever the moon shone brighter or the clouds covering them up, they were still there, forever more. Natsuo and Tenko may not be the couple everyone expected but it works. Whenever someone mocks them or when their own problems arise and shadow them. They always stayed together despite everything.
Tenko and Natsuo got up and left the tree to its own. They left the park and went back into the car to head to the family dinner Fuyumi set up for everyone. While Natsuo was driving down the road, Tenko stares at Natsuo, admiring his beauty. There’s no such thing as saints or angels, but God, does he look heavenly. Everything was perfect in its own way. And Tenko likes that. He then looks out the car window as the stars pass by quickly as if trying to signal him, trying to catch up at the speed of the car. Showing their light down upon them, always and forever, never leaving their side.
