Chapter Text
It was sundown, the sky was filled with oranges and reds and pinks… It was a beautiful image to look at. People walked the streets and talked with each other without a care in the world because they could go home with family or partners, eat dinner and settle down for a relaxing night. Though the same couldn't be said about the group of villains now scrambling to find a new place of shelter. At this time the villains had found themselves in a dingy run down hotel each of them got their own crummy room to stay in. It was better than nothing though… They couldn’t stay there for long. It was being ripped down soon and was gonna be gone forever and once again the group will be looking for a good place to stay. Most of them were down in the old dining room that didn’t really have any food, just some moldy bread and a few containers of water there.
“Atsuhiroooooooo!”
A short blond by the name of Himiko Toga complained, as she slumped herself on top of the wood table with a small pout on her lips.
“What’s for dinner? We haven’t eaten in two days, I’m starving!”
Toga said loudly as she slid to the floor, an exasperated whine leaving her lips as he wrapped her arms around her stomach as it rumbled loudly. The man that held the name Sako Atsuhiro let a small huff escape his lips as he looked down at the teen girl.
“Now Toga dear, I already told you that we might not be able to eat tonight, okay?”
Sako said softly as he crouched down to get a better look at Toga, he extended his robotic arm out to help her back up on her feet. She took it and stood up with the other, a pout still on her face.
“Now run along now, I need to split up tonight's water supplies evenly for everyone.”
He said softly, pulling a bottle of water out from the cabinet and grabbed a total of six glasses, enough for each member that was left there. Toga ran up to her up the stairs and to the room she was staying out, flopping onto the bed. She began to play with her sleeves to try and pass time along as he let sigh slip past her mouth.
Sako poured the water in each cup as evenly as possible, before placing them on a tray, before he began to make his way up the stairs, humming softly to pass the time. The magician made his way to each room giving everyone their cup of water, wishing them well. He kept a smile on his face though you couldn't see it due to his mask covering up his face. Soon enough he made it to the last room which belonged to the fire wielding man known as Dabi. He huffed slowly and slowly brought his hand up, knocking on the door. He did care for the man but it was hard when he was such a negative rude person to be around sometimes.
“Dabi darling, can you open up your door please? I have your cup of water for you…”
Sako whispered softly. The wood door opened slowly and Dabi peaked his face through the crack of the open door looking at the man holding the cup of water, a tiny groan escaped his lips. After that he opened the door up all the way as he grabbed the cup off of the tray and looked at it for a moment. HIs eyes looked dull and his hair looked mattered and his scars seemed a little skewed with a few missing staples in face.
“Thanks Mister, I’ll just put it right next to my other cup of fucking water,”
Dabi spat out, before he slammed the door in front of Sako’s face causing him to flinch slightly, as he took a step back looking at the door in shock. He let a tiny sigh escape him as he turned to walk away from the door, his boots making a clicking sound as he walked down the hall to his own room so he could relax and wait for time to go by. Sako slowly opened up the door and made his way into his room, a frown appeared on his lips. He was happy that his room was neat but it felt lonely… The tall male shit the door behind him and sat down on the bed as he looked out the window, watching the orange sky becoming even darker. He looked down at his drink for a moment as he pulled the white decorative mask off and placed it next to him. He picked it up slowly as he took a small sip of it, his throat was rather dry so finally feeling water slide down his throat was rather nice… Sako rubbed his throat for a moment as he took another small sip of his drink, he could feel the liquid make its way down into his gut that was rather empty at this point. A loud growl escaped his stomach as he quickly hugged his stomach close, letting a small groan escape his lips as he let a pained noise escape him.
“I guess I’m more hungry than I thought…”
Sako whispered lowly, as he furrowed his eyebrows a small wine escaped his lips. As he fell back on his bed, dust puffing out just the slightest. He closed his eyes for a mere moment as the light from sunset hit his eyes, making his brown eyes almost glow. The magician slowly drifted off into a light slumber, as dusk turned into night.
Dabi was still up, his aqua eyes stayed on the cup of water that Sako had dropped off earlier, a small sigh escaped him as he took the cup and quickly sucked the entire glass down. He could feel the water travel down his dry throat and land in his stomach. Letting a soft groan of annoyance escape him, into realization that he was getting kinda hungry himself. Without a second thought Dabi quickly opened up the window and began to make his way out and down to the ground. His ass hit the ground with a thud, not landing on his feet like he originally attended. He wasn’t a cat after all.
“Damn it-”
He spat out, as he slowly got up rubbing his ass a bit as he groaned in pain. Dabi slowly began to walk into the city, to try and grab a few things for himself and maybe for the other members as well. The city was not that loud but people were still out and about having fun with family and friends. Dabi hated it, he hated seeing all their happy faces, he didn’t understand why they got to feel happy and protected. It was stupid to him and he’d never fully understan what it was like to feel safe by the presence of a hero again. He made it to the back part of a small convenience store and placed his hand on the wood door, taking a deep breath he slowly engulfed the back door in bright blue flames and slowly crumbled to the ground. He huffed and walked in the empt closed store, he frapped a big bag and quickly began tossing things into it as the alarm began to go off. Things like chips, candy, fruit, peanuts and an array of drinks from lots of water and just a few soda’s. After that he took a second to look around one more time, tossing in just a bit more water and chips before he dashed out the back door.
His heart was pounding in his chest as he managed to get out right before pro heroes arrived onto the scene. He looked back for a moment as he ran, his legs felt sore at this point as he began to feel a bit light headed. Though after a bit he was finally back to the hideout, a slight smirk on his face as he snuck his way back inside. Dabi breathed heavily as he collapsed and a diny couch, though him entering the building was a little louder than he would have liked. Accidentally waking up Sako, so sat up groggy rubbing his head.
“What the hell…”
Sako mumbled and left his room, heading down the stairs and to where the noise was. His eyes widened a bit as he saw Dabi on the couch with a big bag of food next to him, his eyes widened just a bit as he quickly ran over to him.
“My goodness Dabi, did you do all this?”
Sako asked as he placed a gentle hand on the man's back, he could feel how hard his heart was pounding in chest as a small frown appeared on his lips. He rubbed small circles on the others boney back, although he didn’t get a full response from the lanky villain, only a small mumble and groaned into an old couch cushion. A soft yet warm laugh escaped Sako’s glossy pink lips, as his eyes wandered to the bag that was besides the other.
“May I?”
Sako asked as he removed his hand from the other’s back so he could place both on the filled bag. He waited a bit longer for a response before he shrugged his shoulders and lifted his face up slightly.
“It’s just some food and drinks.”
Dabi said with a shrug as he slowly sat up, his back popping for a moment as he got off the couch and stood up.
“You can look through it, I’m going to bed.”
The man muttered and left the room and slowly made his way up the stairs, as he mumbled to himself walking up the stairs and to his room. Slamming the door loudly, before he crashed on his bed, admittedly falling asleep. Sako couldn’t help but roll his eyes before he picked the bag up and walked over to a table taking everything out.
“Man, Dabi really stocked up for us here. And it looks like with all this new water we can at least all have at least a bottle each a week!”
He said excitedly, picking one up and cracking it open taking a big swig of it.
“No more small cups for us!”
Sako said, as if he was presenting off to someone but there was no one there.
